SCROOMtimes

We Want You...

Are you bored with the content you find on the 'Net? Are you sure that you could do better? Do you want to get in on the ground floor on something really cool? Have you looked at this issue of SCROOMtimes, and/or it's predecessor The Drunk Tank, and thought that we were interesting, or almost so?

Welcome to SCROOMtimes! We are looking for writers and artists to help us make this a truly interesting landmark on the "Information Superhighway". What is it that you want to say? How do you want to say it? We are interested in people who make us laugh, or who make us think. Not to mention folks who might do both...

No, at the moment, we can't pay anyone. At this time, we are paying to do this ourselves, in time and money (gotta have space on a WebServer in this business). We have a dream that this might be profitable some day, but right now, we just want to make something worth reading - a rarity on the 'Net. We firmly believe in Sturgeon's Law: "90% of everything is crap". Our goal is to be part of that 10% of 'Net content.

What can you do?

Well, that's what we're asking!

We want writers! Send us something interesting, funny, informative, inspiring, whatever. Send it as text in an e-mail message, to andyw@scroom.com. Yes, we are asking for direct submissions! Send them on in! If you need more information, check out our Writer's Guidelines.

We want artists! We would love to be a "patron of the arts". If you are a digital artist or cartoonist (we love topical and political cartoons, along with humor, sports...), then we want you! We're looking for a regular political cartoonist as well as "feature" cartoonists - we would love to publish at least one "new talent" per issue. So, if you've got something, send it on in! If you need more information, check out our Artist's Guidelines.

Anything we publish will include a pointer to a biography, and contact information if you wish. We're not above helping someone else get going! So create your masterpiece, put it in an e-mail message to andyw@scroom.com", and put "SCROOMtimes" in the subject line. and maybe tell us a little bit about yourself.
