Happy June! We're back again, another issue of the SCROOMtimes worming its way into your brain...

Last month was the Bay-to-Breakers, the largest organized footrace in the world. 73000 runners made their way across San Francisco, from the Bay to the, well, er, the breakers. Well, ok, so about 500 or so REAL runners run the race. Another couple of thousand run it because they want to say that they could. The rest of us were there to observe and participate in the freak show. Costumes, centipedes (a costume for multiple persons that has to run together), naked guys.... You can check it out online, at their website. And we were there!

Yes, your SCROOMers were again participating in this wonderful experience. You can check the story of our little group out, starting in this issue, with "The Making of A Champion". Yes, we let Skippy out of his closet again!

You can also check out our usual fine array of writing - Skippy is back, as is the Geek Lord, with words of wisdom. Fiona is a little serious this time (that's ok, we let her do that once a year), and Dean has a few words about the wonders of the Internet. And we have not one, but two movie reviews. Our usual reviewer, Ealasaid Haas has finally broken down and seen the Alien movies in the theatre, and our beloved publisher finally did a little writing, giving us a review of another indie flick, "The Pornographer".

So, kick back, mouse in hand, and check it all out! And don't forget to tell a friend! (And while you're at it, you'd look truly hip in a SCROOMtimes t-shirt!)
